Following the complaint of former Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano, the Rome prosecutor’s office has ordered the search of the house of Maria Rosaria Boccia. During the Carabinieri operations, the businesswoman’s mobile phone was seized and computer equipment was acquired. It is assumed that the woman committed various crimes, including invasion of privacy, injuries, private violence and the theft of the former Minister of Culture’s gold wedding ring.
The seized devices will now be analyzed: three mobile phones, five SIM cards, two USB sticks, two PCs and a tablet from which investigators will extrapolate conversations and documents. Boccia is being investigated by the Rome prosecutor’s office for crimes of violence or threats against a political body and bodily harm.
In particular, as stated in the accusations formulated in the seizure decree, Boccia “after the end of the extramarital emotional relationship with Sangiuliano and after learning that the draft appointment decree signed by the minister had been blocked by Sangiuliano’s own will”, would have contacted the former minister “on several occasions”. “request for appointment, refused; contacted the ministry’s services several times to find out the results of the nomination procedure”,
