This is what happened to Kasia Smutniak, who officially announced that wanting to say goodbye to the world of theatre.

“I’ve been telling stories for over 20 years. And I’ve really believed, every time, that they were worth telling. All of them. As if reality had surpassed all fantasies, while my curiosity and passion turned more and more towards what surrounded me and was part of my life,” he explained.
Kasia Smutniak leaves the profession: the reaction
A difficult choice but also very thoughtful that of Kasia Smutniak, who in addition to a change of look has also definitely changed her point of view.
“I decided to stop to follow pure instinct. My glass filled up. I said to myself, ‘if you’re an artist, you have to risk more,’ you have to follow your instinctwithout thinking about the consequences. I’ve always had enormous respect for those who do it. And I’ve always thought that being an artist meant being free, not only in what you tell, but also in how you tell it.”
Despite his determination, many of his family members and colleagues are were surprised by his choice and believe and, perhaps, hope, that leaving the world of theatre is something temporary: “When I announced my “retirement” to my family, a term that, in reality, makes me laugh so much, nobody believed it. Then I talked to my agent, the press office and those who work with me. I don’t think everyone understood that. They probably think it’s a temporary thing. Kasia Smutniak, however, is determined: she wants to tell something beautiful and important, and she wants to do it according to her own rules.
